The Interview

I heard from the school and my interview with the leadership team there to discuss how the children and our family fit (or not) will be this coming Tuesday morning at 8:15AM. I am relieved to have the meeting scheduled and am now looking forward to it. Please continue to lift up the entire application process and for continued understanding and grace.

  1. I will be praying. It appears that God has been guiding you to proceed this way, so we will trust that if this is not His will, He will make that obvious, and that if this is His will, you will have peace in your heart. It does sound like a perfect way to transition. Remember, none of this is a surprise to God. He knew what your family needs would be at this very moment in time. He has prepared the children and you for whatever the next step is.

Every time children change their school placement, there are areas in which they are ahead and others in which they may lag a bit. (Usually, they are ahead in the area(s) of strength/passion of their previous teacher.) So don’t let it throw you, no matter what the findings! Having taught public school, private school, and homeschool (and having had my own children in both homeschool and public school), it is my experience that kids with good work ethics & parental support settle in fairly quickly no matter where they are coming from.
